This is Not a Snow Day

An Online Publication by CHARM Lit Mag

We are documenting life in Baltimore during COVID-19, from the point of view of our city's youth. To submit your own piece of writing or artwork, send them to submissions@charmlitmag.org, or send us a Direct Message through Instagram (@charmlitmag). This collection is curated by CHARM’s Student Editorial Board—be sure to check our blog “Quarantine Life.”

This Quarantine

This Quarantine has got me bored
This whole thing is making me snore
At first I thought it’d be great because of no school
I was such a fool

Social Distancing

When I’m out in public people act distant. When I go into stores, workers clean up 24/7. When I look outside, I see everybody wearing masks and gloves. Certain stores are not open anymore; you can’t have any gatherings. My mother doesn’t order from carry outs anymore.

Homeschool Haiku

Hours of working
siblings that play kind of well
until they do not

Gone

The friends are gone,
The cousins are gone,
The friends of the cousins are gone,
They are all depressed
Due to one little gem
