Welcome to our work!

CHARM anthologies are where it all began! These literary magazines feature student writing and artwork, and are produced by our youth editors. Our publications team conceptualizes each publication, evaluates submissions, curates artwork, and determines the design and layout of the magazine with guidance from a graphic designer. Since 2014, we've published ten anthologies--some with a theme ("Filters," "Culture," "For Your Inspiration") and others with no theme that mark the end of the school year.

CHARM: LOVE

Our most recent publication, CHARM: Love features the writing and artwork of 20 young people in Baltimore.

Our 14th anthology highlighting writing and artwork from Baltimore’s young people. Editor Denim Fisher writes in the anthology’s foreword: “Love can be dedicated to anything: love of self, love of friend, love of a favorite hobby, love of life.”

CHARM: CULTURE

CHARM: Culture is our newest print publication, released in spring 2021. From our youth editors:

“Culture can sometimes separate us, but more often, it can bring us together. It helps individuals form a sense of identity and helps create a sense of family with people we may not even know. This year has been a hard time of separation from loved ones, but culture remains steadfast.”

CHARM: Filters

Students responded to the theme “Filters,” thinking about how this applies to their perception of themselves, the world’s view of who they are, and masks they may wear. The volume features poetry, prose, and visual artwork by 60 students who attend 13 Baltimore City public schools. Check out our shop to get your copy!
