Coming of Age and Writing Through Change
In honor of spring, this class is all about growing up and experiencing change—and putting it into words. We will get inspired by iconic coming-of-age works, including poetry to graphic novels, and personal essays, and explore pivot points in our own lives and imaginations.
• Play interactive writing games and activities that spark creativity and build confidence as writers
• Explore different forms of coming-of-age writing and turn their own ideas into completed pieces
• Practice drafting, editing, and giving and receiving constructive feedback to strengthen their work
• Meet special guests, make new friends, and have fun in a supportive, creative community
Light snacks are provided.
