CHARM’s Summer Publishing Internship
In summer 2022, we’re launching a brand new *paid* opportunity for Baltimore youth to develop their skills and amplify their voices.
About the Internships
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge, network, and experiences, and get paid for doing what you love!
We’re looking for students who are passionate about publishing, media, and amplifying young voices. These internships are an opportunity for young people to work at a publishing/media site, and participate in whole-group, youth-driven workshops.
Overview:
Internships run for five weeks: from July 5th—August 5th, 2022
Interns can earn over $1500 (based on $12.50/hour for 25 hours per week)
Interns spend three days a week working at a publishing/media site, learning first-hand about how local publishers operate, and get hands-on experience working with them.
Interns spend two days a week in whole group workshops with the CHARM team, focused on communication, writing, research, collaboration, college and career readiness skills, and more!

Application requirements:
Must be 14-21 years old (by July 1, 2022)
Must live or attend school in Baltimore City
Must plan to submit an application to Youthworks before April 1, 2022
