Graphic novels are a beloved format of literature that are most known for how engaging and

immersive they are. In CHARM’s newest cohort, participants will be the authors and artists of

their own graphic novels. Hone your storytelling skills, discuss literary and visual techniques,

and explore many examples of how writers and illustrators use this format to engage millions

of readers. This cohort is designed for 6th-8th grade students. Lovers of fiction, nonfiction,

poetry, and prose are welcome; all levels of artistry are embraced. Some art materials will be

supplied.
